One of the biggest concerns for our new customers is the issue of energy use.

How much is this going to increase my electrical bill?

We understand that concern, and that is why we have committed to only offering our customers products that are ENERGY EFFICIENT.  Not only are our two spa brands- Sundance and Hot Spring Portable Spas- fully-foamed, virtually allowing NO heat loss in the winter time, but they are INNOVATORS in the industry and are always working to offer YOU the best products to ease your mind, and decrease the carbon footprint you leave on the earth.

In the past few years, another concern has become very visible from our customer base.

Is it very GREEN to own a hot tub?

Both brands we carry are VERY vocal about this issue, and they offer many options for the growing concern of global warming.

Here are JUST a few examples of what makes our products GREEN:

• Completely filling the compartment between the shell and the skirt are multiple layers of full-foam insulation, adding superior strength and reducing heating costs by conserving energy and maintaining water temperatures longer.
• In the Hot Spring line, the Low-amp SilentFlo 5000® circulation pump provides 24 hour filtration while using less energy to operate than a 75-watt light bulb!
• Every 880 Series Sundance spa comes equipped with a 24-hour circulation pump that enables filtering of seven times more water per minute than typical spas, at roughly the same operating cost.
• The covers included with our spas have a dense foam core that forms a tight seal with the spa shell, forming a protective seal to keep heat in and weather out.
  
• The heater on selected models in the Sundance line features a titanium coil that directly heats the water.  100% of the heat produced is transferred immediately to the spa water.
• The equipment compartment in the Hot Spring line is designed to direct the warm air generated from the pumps and heater back towards the spa water to limit the energy required by the heater.
• The water temperature in both the Sundance and Hot Spring lines is maintained at a constant temperature, eliminating expensive heating and cooling cycles.
• Beware of hot tub brands that advertise "the most horsepower you can find in a jet pump!"  The more horsepower you add into a spa, the less energy efficient it is (and the more costly it is to run).  However, if the tub is manufactured like a Hot Spring and Sundance Spa, the plumbing system will optimize flow control of the water, thus less horsepower (and less energy) will be required to produce the SAME powerful feeling from the jets. Basically, a lower horsepower pump in an efficient spa will produce just as much jet power as a higher horsepower pump in an inefficient spa! Just as much power, but without Al Gore knocking down your door!
• Our tubs have L.E.D. Interior Light options, which use far less energy than a standard light bulb.
